Exercise of the Week #2

EXERCISE #2

FEET WIDE GLIDES

This is one of the most commonly used moves in any workout I have ever built. It also happen to be one of just about all my clients favorites. The Feet Wide Glides just feels good. It is a tremendous move for creating or reestablishing movement around the hips and knees and ankles. The amount of muscles involved and impacted is also a huge benefit when trying to accomplish several things in a short amount of time.

For instance in this particular move you are lengthening the muscles of the groin and hamstrings. Also you are creating movement of the femur as in relationship to its insertion into the pelvis. You are providing solid flexion and extension to the knees and correlating the angle in the pelvis to its relationship to the muscles of the lower back, in this case flexion of the hip to provide extension of the spine.

if you have not tried this move before I would recommend giving it a go. It feels great and provides great benefit to multiple areas of the body.
