Exercise of the Week #11 Lower Spinal Floor Twist






Add this excellent move to your warm-up routines for a great way to improve or maintain the ability to rotate the spine. Flexibility through your core is valuable to the quality of life you will have as you age.

    Here’s a fun exercise I have my classes do sometimes just to keep them mentally sharp – Supine hand leg Opposites. On you back with arms and legs straight to the sky, drop right arm over your head and left leg both one inch off the floor, hold for 1 count and switch. Most people cannot resist the urge to drop the left arm to their side (it should remain straight up) while the left is over the head – that’s where brain power comes in. It’s also a good Ab workout. Try it!
