What is the hardest workout you have ever done?

During the summer camps my staff and I run a summer conditioning camp. It is through Trinity Sports Camps and consists ofapproximately 80 hours of training. I learned the process of a camp like this from Adapt Training and their Cassidy Camp. Cassidy camp is still the hardest thing I have ever done physically if you count the total camp. Trinity’s summer camp is built in this mold with its own variations and twists that allow athletes to experience all kinds of workouts they love and love to hate.
The design of the camp is to completely redesign your muscular system to create higher levels of every component of athleticism such as speed, agility, power, balance, flexibility, and most importantly durability. That was the thing that appealed to me most when I had the chance to go through Cassidy Camp. The durability you have in your body following a progression like this is amazing. My body felt better than it had in well over a decade.
Trinity Sports Camps is very similar to this as it provides workouts that challenge you both mentally and physically. During the course of the month you will take your body through physical demands that you would have never dreamed of doing prior to the camp. The result is a much higher level of muscular efficiency.
One of the best parts of this camp is to see the different reactions from the athletes attending to each of the workouts. We do power days using various obstacles for your body to clear which some athletes love, and others very much dislike. Then we will do running endurance days that make some want to cry and tests them more mentally than physically. Who does not like to run hills? Well as it turns out at least 50% of the athletes in our camps.
So what is the hardest workout that you have ever done? I have done so many that I would have a hard time choosing one but I know one of the hardest had to be this football conditioning drill we did in High School. It was done in full pads and they called it the “Ironman” It encompassed 3 full football fields and was made up of various stations you had to run to, then perform the drill at the station, then sprint to the next one. It took several minutes to get through for the fast guys and at the end you just wanted to crawl up into a ball and die. What does it say about me that I loved this drill?
