Lateral Lunges

The second exercise in our Running Warm-up progression is for establishing lateral demands into the hips in a vertically loaded position. This exercise will be used later in the complete warm-up. It is a common mistake for runners to underestimate the importance of providing a significant amount of lateral demands into their hips to help maintain joint neutrality in an effort to help avoid nuisance injuries.
